Regardless of which tool is used, Putman Travel provides an array of Travel Management Reports to give our customers a thorough picture of their travel expenditures. These reports will also list traveler-specific and trip-specific details which will enable enforcement of your unique travel policy. As a trusted service-oriented business, Putman Travel takes pride in the relationships we build with our business partners. We have provided travel services to virtually every industry type, and realize the importance of knowing your industry in general, and your specific needs in particular. To ensure this area of our service is effective, your company will be assigned an Account Executive who will provide customized support on a continuing basis. We realize the cost of business travel is the 2nd to 3rd largest controllable expense for most corporations. When you sign up with us, you receive our Price Guarantee; we offer the lowest possible rate at the time of ticketing, or we refund double the difference. Utilizing our advanced reservations system, your airfare will be checked continually until departure for lower rates. Our system will also continuously check for desired seat assignments, should your first preference not be available at the time of booking. |

Can a company add members throughout the year? Yes, of course since we know that hiring is not stagnant! You can add people to the program at any point during the year. For administrative purposes the expiration date for people added will be the same as the original members. What happens if an employee leaves the company during the year? Once the membership is assigned it stays with that individual for a year. It is not transferable to another employee. Does the UATP (Universal Air Travel Plan) card have credit limits? No it does not since some companies have significant dollar volumes each month. We have employees all over the world—can they become members? Yes, the employees of multi-national companies are certainly eligible and we can make sure they receive the same access to information as US members. We have information on our website for members-only and will communicate with people however they wish (email, fax, mail). What are the steps involved in joining? It is simple! The company signs the agreement. Individual travelers complete profiles. Travelers receive a membership card and packet of benefits and coupons. Does Putman have a preferred airline? No! If a traveler has a certain airline they wish to fly we will certainly accommodate that but we have no vested interest in any airline. We also search the complete database of all airlines to find the best price for our customers since it is in your best interest and ours. What other fees do you charge other than airline ticket fees? There are other fees. In many cases, we are charged a fee to process the request so there is a hard dollar cost to us. How do I know that Putman will find the best airfare for us? It has always been our policy to get our customers the best rates for the type of fares that they need. And since airlines now pay no commissions, we make no money on any fares. Our experienced agents know how to search the databases for the best prices and always go the extra mile for our customers—it is a Putman policy.
Putman has a 7-day, 24-hour partner that can provide the same outstanding service that our customers are used to getting from us during normal business hours. Can you handle airline
tickets, hotel reservations and car rentals here and abroad?
Yes, we already book a lot of complex international itineraries and are well versed in the needs of travelers in various countries. Many of the Advantage Program benefits are geared to international travelers. We travel a lot but it is never the same people going somewhere twice. How can the PTA program work for us? You can purchase “blank” memberships that can be completed as the individual gets ready to travel. For inclusive members, the price of a membership is less than the service fees on a single airline ticket! We use a combination of working with an agent directly and booking off the travel agency’s website, can we get reports that consolidate all this activity? Yes, certainly! We can produce management reports tailored to our customer’s needs. We already produce a wide variety of reports for customers who want to control expenses. Can you provide paper tickets and do you charge for them? Yes, we can certainly provide paper tickets. Unfortunately, the airlines charge us for them so we have to pass that fee along to the consumer. When you charge a service fee, how is it reflected in your monthly management reports? We can separate it out however you want it done. Most companies ask that it be a separate line item. Can you send management reports electronically? Yes in most cases. However, there is some software that has to be downloaded in order to complete so we send those reports via fax. What is the catch to this program? I do not want us to sign up for something and then find out it is not what we expected. When we first developed the concept, we knew that this would be a question since it does sound too good. We want long-term, loyal clients who know us and whom we know well. This program is designed to save companies hard service fee dollars while still providing the high level of individual service. In turn, we want to be the leisure agency for your employees so that we cover all their travel needs. |
