Honeymoon Top Ten Tips
    Plan Early!
The more time you have to research, the better the results can be! Some of the most popular destinations and resorts can be booked a year in advance, so once you know your wedding date, start working on the honeymoon.

    Set A Budget!
Even though this is a once-in-a-lifetime trip, the sky is usually not the limit. So get together and see how much you want to spend without it being a hassle for either one of you. Many popular destinations have packages (hotel and airfare)so don't discount exotic locations. We usually recommend that you splurge on accommodations so that they can be memorable!

    Use A Travel Agent!
Travel agents can save you time and money. Agents have access to more information concerning destinations and pricing than anyone can find on their own! They also have a wealth of experience that you can rely upon. Many agencies have honeymoon specialists: you describe your dream to them and they can find the place that can fulfill it! And if you need some assistance while you are on your trip, most travel agencies can assist you 24/7.

Register Your Honeymoon With A Travel Agency!
Let friends and family know that you are registered with your travel agent and they can purchase a gift certificate toward the cost. There is usually no fee for the certificate and these gifts can make a difference!

    Organize!
When your plans start to create paperwork, you need to start making copies and files. While in the planning stage, set up files so you can keep your choices in order-there is so much going on in your life at this moment that it is easy to forget details! If you use a travel agent, your documents will come pre-packed in a nice document holder, but you will also need to make copies. Be sure and have a copy of everything with you and leave one with someone.

    Paper Requirements!
The name on an airline ticket must match your picture ID. Even though you may be anxious to use your married name, it can be a real nightmare if you have not legally changed all your identification. This applies to passports, and visas.

Travel Tools

Pack Smart!
Do not take everything you own. What you pack depends on the style of your trip but usually less is better. If you find that you are missing something, chances are you can purchase it on your trip and then have a nice reminder! Leave room in your suitcase for items that you want to purchase. And take a carry-on with a change of clothes, toiletries, and paperwork in case your luggage takes another flight!

Take It Easy!
Don't plan every minute of your trip, even if you are in a place where you want to see everything! Take time to relax and unwind. All the millions of details should be over at this point, so kick back and enjoy yourself!

Tell Everyone You Are On Your Honeymoon!
Honeymooners get great perks! Tell the airline and hotel when you check in, restaurants, stores, everyone! This is the perfect time to ask for special treatment and you will usually get some! So do not be shy about your status! It is something that lots of people want to help you celebrate!

Pack A Sense Of Humor!
You will be tired. Airlines don't always run on schedule. Afternoons may be overcast. Expect that some things will not go as planned. Flexibility is the key to fun when you travel, no matter what the reason! So remedy what you can and let the rest be a great story!
